Dear supporters, friends, and those interested in the Republican Party of Pennsylvania:
Let me begin by noting that this coming Thursday is the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
With Memorial Day just being celebrated, this is another time for us to reflect on what unity of purpose can achieve despite overwhelming odds and serves an example to us about the cost and meaning of freedom and what we are trying to preserve by fighting for our principles.
It was an exciting week as Republican state leaders across the country gathered in Washington, D.C. for training with the Republican National Committee as we continue to energize and equip our grassroots leaders for success in re-electing President Donald Trump in 2020.
As we’ve seen over the course of the past few months, Pennsylvania is ground zero for the 2020 Presidential contest and I know the eyes of the nation’s political world are on us as we build our army of volunteers, use micro-targeted messaging, and grow our field team in support of 2019 and 2020 election efforts.
Similarly, the Republican Party of Pennsylvania is preparing and gearing-up for similar state-level training next week as our state committee members come to Hershey for our 2019 summer retreat.
As part of the events, I am excited to have Vice President Michael Pence headlining our State Dinner on Thursday night.
If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to get your tickets and RSVP at www.pagop.org/statedinner19.
President Trump and Vice President Pence are counting on us to deliver in 2020 and we are excited to put every effort behind their re-election.
As Democrats in Washington are focusing more and more on impeachment, continuing needless investigations, and obstructing everything the Trump administration is doing, Republicans and the President continue to deliver on border security, the economy, and making sure America is respected again on the world stage.
I hope you join me in my excitement to hear Vice President Pence talk about the administration’s many successes and how they will continue to keep America great in their second term.
Finally, I want to congratulate Sen. Pat Toomey on the re-introduction of his legislation–The Stop Dangerous Sanctuary Cities Act–that would withhold certain non-law enforcement federal grant funds from so-called sanctuary cities.
With liberals across Pennsylvania continuing to turn municipalities into sanctuaries for illegal immigrants by not cooperating with federal law enforcement, the passage of this legislation would be a significant step toward ensuring the rule of law and enhancing the safety of Pennsylvanians and Americans.
