Democrats’ ‘Most Liberal’ 2014 Tour Rolls Into Harrisburg

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement on tonight’s Democratic gubernatorial debate in Harrisburg.

“The more Democrats debate who’s the most liberal, the more Pennsylvanians are exposed to the candidates’ shared tax-and-spend liberal agenda,” Gleason said. “These Democratic candidates are focused on appeasing the radical left of their Party with the promises of higher taxes, more government spending, and a more expansive intrusion into the health care of Pennsylvania families through ObamaCare.

“Allyson Schwartz may have skipped tonight’s debate, but her decision to ditch common sense in favor of her extreme liberal friends speaks volumes about her priorities.

“While the Democrats continue their race to the left, Governor Corbett is putting Pennsylvanians back to work. Because of Governor Corbett’s common sense economic policies, Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate hit its lowest point in five years, with the sharpest one month drop in unemployment since 1983.

“The Democratic candidates can debate their failed policies for as long as they want, but it won’t change the fact that their shared tax-and-spend agenda is bad for Pennsylvania.”
