The PAGOP issues the following statement following Governor Wolf’s Budget Address: “The 2020 Elections sent a Republican majority to Harrisburg with a clear mandate: keep Governor Wolf under control. New taxes and job-killing policies are not what voters had in mind. The Governor’s budget, which proposes an income tax increase, a minimum wage increase, and another attempt to levy more taxes on PA natural gas forgets the hardships put on Pennsylvanians because of his draconian shut downs. From hard working citizens to small business job creators –– the Governor’s budget makes pack mules out of all of us. It’s not sustainable, and it’s not right. The governor needs to stop breaking our backs and work with the legislature on a fair budget that Pennsylvanians can actually carry.” |
