Pennsylvania Young Republicans recognized by Young Republican National Federation

This past weekend, the Young Republican National Federation held its conference meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, the Pennsylvania Young Republicans was recognized by the national organization, winning several awards, including the Pennsylvania Young Republicans winning best state Young Republican Federation in the country.

In addition, State Young Republican Chairman Rick Loughery was awarded the George Olmsted award, which is given to a leader who has gone above and beyond to exemplify the leadership qualities of the founder of the Young Republicans, George Olmsted.

Locally, the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans won Young Republican Club of the Year.

In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio, made the following statement:

“Since taking over as State Party Chairman, I have been happy to work with Pennsylvania Young Republican Chairman Rick Loughery to prioritize the growth of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans.

“Through Rick’s leadership the Young Republicans have been more organized, energized, and optimized. We now have 75 Young Republicans on Pennsylvania Republican State Committee, more than at any time in recent memory.

“The awards won by the Pennsylvania Young Republicans this weekend, and the recognition they received from the Young Republican National Federation, show the vitality of the Republican youth movement in Pennsylvania and the grassroots energy they bring to electing our candidates and spreading our message of freedom, liberty, and growth.”
