PA GOP STATEMENT: Republican Party of Pennsylvania congratulates National Committeewoman Christine Toretti on her nomination to be Ambassador to the Republic of Malta

Harrisburg, Pa. — Friday, President Donald Trump nominated the Republican National Committeewoman from Pennsylvania, Christine Toretti, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Malta.

In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio made the following statement:

“Christine Toretti has a vast array of public and private sector experience that has prepared her for a role of this magnitude and President Trump could not have picked a more qualified person for this Ambassadorship.

“Among her many achievements, Christine has been a pioneer in championing women in Republican politics by, among other things, founding the Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series, which is a training program designed to educate, empower and advance Republican women.

“On behalf of all Pennsylvania Republicans, I want to congratulate Christine Toretti on the great honor of being nominated to be Ambassador to the Republic of Malta and wish her well on this even greater responsibility.”
