Harrisburg, Pa. — Friday, at least eight people were killed at a school shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas.
In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio made the following statement:
“The Republican Party of Pennsylvania condemns yet another incident of senseless violence in one of our nation’s schools.
““Our hearts are crushed for the victims and all those involved, thoughtful and deliberate action to protect students must be our next step.
“This heinous attack another stark reminder that policymakers need to get serious about school safety and take affirmative steps that create a holistic approach to ending violence in our schools, including funding for mental health screenings and treatment; programs for bullying prevention; and resources allowing schools to be a safe learning environment for all students and staff.”
