Liquor Privatization Advances In Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the state House’s passage of House Bill 466, which focuses on privatizing Pennsylvania’s liquor stores.

“Congratulations to Speaker Mike Turzai, Leader Dave Reed, and House Republicans for their efforts to bring commonsense liquor reform to Pennsylvania,” Gleason said. “For far too long, Pennsylvanians have been forced to navigate an outdated bureaucracy just so they can buy alcohol in their own Commonwealth. When it comes to liquor in Pennsylvania, our system is clearly broken.

“Today’s vote is an important step on the road to bringing convenience to the lives of many Pennsylvanians, and our state House should be applauded for their work on this important issue.”
