State Rep. Tarah Toohil, R-116, Butler Township, announced that the National Foundation for Women Legislators has named her as one of its 2014 Elected Women of Excellence Award winners.
This award was established in 2013 as part of the foundation’s 75th anniversary to honor the hard work and dedication of women leaders from across the country.
In all, the foundation has recognized 60 elected women from 37 states.
“I am honored to have been selected by the NFWL to receive this prestigious award,” Toohil said in a release. “I enjoy working hard for the people I represent and it is extremely gratifying to have our efforts recognized.”
The award was recently presented to Toohil.
