HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Tom Wolf’s campaign event with First Lady Michelle Obama.
“Tom Wolf wants to bring the Obama philosophy of more taxes, more government and more Obamacare to Pennsylvania,” Gleason said. “Tom Wolf believes Pennsylvanians should open up their pockets to pay more to subsidize his big government agenda. However, Wolf refuses to provide any details regarding his plan to double, or in some cases triple, our income taxes.
“Tom Wolf is campaigning to raise our taxes, even if he won’t tell us how much he wants to raise them. It’s becoming apparent that Tom Wolf would rather spend his time taking pictures with out-of-state Democrats than explaining to Pennsylvania voters how much a vote for him would cost us.”
Wolf Plan Increases The Income Tax Rate By 188%! A study conducted by the Commonwealth Foundation found that Tom Wolf’s income tax proposal would increase the state income tax rate by 188%! (Bob Dick, “How Would Tom Wolf’s Tax Plan Impact You?,” Commonwealth Foundation, 10/9/2014)
If Elected, Would Wolf Have An Income Tax Plan By Budget Season? “I Haven’t Decided.” “Asked if that would give him time to get up to speed on the revenue data he would need to flesh out his proposal, he said, “I haven’t decided.” (James O’Toole, “Tom Wolf talks taxes during stop at Aliquippa High,” Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 10/13/2014)
Tom Wolf supports ObamaCare — one of the largest taxes increase in U.S. history — calling it “a good start.” ObamaCare has 21 tax increases, and raises taxes by more than $1 trillion.
