HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the recommendation of Cleveland as the location of the 2016 Republican National Convention by the RNC’s Site Selection Committee.
“Congratulations to National Chairman Reince Priebus, the RNC Site Selection members, Ohio State Chairman Matt Borges, Ohio National Committee Members Bob Bennett and Jo Ann Davidson and the Cleveland delegation for winning such an important recommendation on the road to hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention,” Gleason said. “I look forward to finalizing this process in August so that our neighbors to the west will have the honor of hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention. The convention marks a new era for our Party and its presidential candidates, and today’s announcement serves as another reason to look forward to electing the next Republican President.
