Corbett-Cawley Ticket Builds Momentum For November

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding tonight’s Primary Election results.

“Tonight is another step forward for Governor Corbett, Lieutenant Governor Cawley and all of our Republican nominees who are on the road to victory in November,” Gleason said. “Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley’s commonsense policies have created more than 150,000 new private sector jobs in Pennsylvania. Governor Corbett eliminated a $4.2 billion budget deficit and delivered three on-time and balanced budgets without raising taxes.

“While Tom Corbett is bringing commonsense solutions to Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf wants to push more Pennsylvanians into Obamacare and pull us backward to the days of overtaxing and reckless spending. Tom Wolf wants to bring his ‘do as I say, not as I do’ platform that bought him the nomination to our state government. Voters deserve to have a full and public vetting of Tom Wolf, instead of the secrecy in which he currently operates as he continues his attacks on Governor Corbett.

“I want to thank all of the volunteers and Republican voters who helped candidates this Primary Election. Pennsylvania Republicans are energized, and we are ready to get to work to send Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley back to Harrisburg and elect our Republican ticket for Congress, the state Senate and state House.”
