Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates Fail To Impress In Philadelphia Forum

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the latest Democratic gubernatorial forum in Philadelphia today.

“Today, the Democratic gubernatorial candidates continued to prove just how out-of-touch they are with Pennsylvanians,” Gleason said. “As we mark the fourth anniversary of Obamacare, it sounds as though the Democratic gubernatorial candidates have had their heads in the sand while this disastrous law raised taxes, killed jobs, and separated more than 250,000 Pennsylvanians from their doctors. In fact, it seems as though the Democratic gubernatorial candidates’ answer to everything was more taxes, more spending and more Obamacare.

“Governor Tom Corbett’s commonsense economic policies are creating solutions to Pennsylvania’s toughest problems. While the Democratic gubernatorial candidates fight over who can increase the size of government the most, Governor Corbett is working hard to grow our economy and create jobs. Over the past four years, Governor Corbett eliminated a $4 billion budget deficit and created more than 150,000 private sector jobs. Governor Corbett has kept his promises to the people of Pennsylvania, and our Commonwealth is better for it.”
