HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the latest Democrat gubernatorial debate.
“As Governor Tom Corbett prepares to deliver a common sense budget address, this lackluster group of Democrat candidates continue their race to the extreme left,” Gleason said. “The Democrats have spent months spouting their liberal agenda of more government, higher taxes and less jobs. While Tom Corbett is focused on bringing fiscal sanity to Harrisburg, the Democrat candidates are spending their time trying to prove who is the most radical liberal among them.
“The fact of the matter is that every one of these Democrat candidates is just too liberal for Pennsylvania. The Democrats can hold as many debates as they want, but they just give Pennsylvanians even more opportunities to hear about their extreme liberal ideas for our Commonwealth. As if 6 more weeks of winter wasn’t bad enough for Pennsylvanians, we’re sadly stuck with 15 more weeks watching the Democrats pander to their extreme liberal special interests groups.”
