After two lackluster debate performances from Team Obama, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan Continue To Seize Momentum
HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement following Paul Ryan’s performance at tonight’s Vice Presidential Debate:
“In tonight’s debate, Paul Ryan presented the American people with clear choice between a dynamic, pro-growth economy that fosters opportunity versus a stagnant economy that grows government dependency. Vice President Biden couldn’t have said it any better when he remarked that the middle class has been “buried” for the last four years by President Obama. After watching tonight’s debate, Pennsylvania voters are likely to agree that the middle class is buried and are ready send our country in a new, prosperous direction by supporting Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
“Mitt Romney’s outstanding debate performance two weeks ago not only spurred hundreds of new volunteers to join our campaign, but it also caused Pennsylvania voters to move away from President Obama. Now, polls show Obama and Romney in a dead heat and Pennsylvania is more hotly contested than ever. Tonight, Paul Ryan’s performance cemented only further cemented our battleground state status with his pro-growth, pro-jobs message will continue to move voters away from the failed Obama-Biden record. We feel confident that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will win Pennsylvania this year.”
