PA GOP Chairman Gleason Statement On The PATH Act

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the Protecting Access to Healthcare (PATH) Act which repeals the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) provision of Obamacare:

“Pennsylvanians know that ObamaCare is a disaster. By passing the PATH Act, House Republicans took an important step in fighting the President Obama and Senator Casey’s takeover of our healthcare system. One of the most egregious provisions of Obamacare is the Independent Payment Advisory Board, which puts a panel of unelected and unaccountable government Washington bureaucrats in between decisions best left to patients and their doctors. The PATH Act repeals IPAB and takes an important step towards putting our healthcare system on the road to recovery,” Chairman Gleason said.

“Based on Bob Casey’s unabashed support for ObamaCare, it’s clear that Bob Casey is more interested in supporting President Obama’s destructive agenda than fighting for Pennsylvania. We need an authentic conservative like U.S. Senate candidate Steve Welch in Washington, D.C. who has vowed to fight for the complete repeal of ObamaCare.”
