HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement thanking Governor Tom Corbett for his hard work in securing the Shell Cracker Plant:
“Our Commonwealth received great news last week with the announcement by Shell Oil that it would open a new chemical plant in western Pennsylvania. The construction and business from the plant will create well-paying, sustainable jobs for thousands of Pennsylvanians.
“From day one, Governor Corbett has made it his top priority to create jobs in Pennsylvania by empowering the private sector and making sure the world knows Pennsylvania is open for business. That Shell chose Pennsylvania over West Virginia and Ohio, illustrates the competitiveness we have regained under Governor Corbett’s administration and his commitment to job growth and economic recovery,” Chairman Gleason said.
