Chairman Gleason Congratulates Anne Covey On Commonwealth Court Victory

Republicans Take Majority Control Of 12 County Courthouses

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the results of the 2011 Municipal Elections:

“Tonight Republicans earned huge wins across our Commonwealth. Voters across Pennsylvania elected the most qualified and experienced candidate to the Commonwealth Court: Anne Covey. I am confident that Anne will serve with honor and distinction by bringing her integrity and incredible work ethic to the bench,” Chairman Rob Gleason said.

“I also commend Vic Stabile for running a hard fought and vigorous campaign and for diligently bringing his conservative vision for Pennsylvania’s judiciary to voters across our Commonwealth.

“In addition, I also congratulate our numerous Republican candidates at the local level who are celebrating tonight. We are extremely proud to have expanded our Republican majority in thirteen county courthouses, to include the following pick-ups:
