Obama Administration Pushes Out Their Side Of The Story Regarding Sestak And “Job-Gate”

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement after White House lawyers detailed the administration’s side of the story regarding their efforts to buy Congressman Joe Sestak out of the U.S. Senate race.

“Now that we have the White House’s version of the events surrounding their attempts to bribe Joe Sestak out of this race, it is time for the Congressman to give us his side of the story,” Gleason said. “It’s nice that the White House finally said something on this matter, but forgive me for not feeling comforted by the findings of an internal investigation launched by an office whose job is to specifically protect this White House.

“For an ‘outsider’ candidate that promised openness and transparency, I am outraged that Joe Sestak has refused to come clean on this matter. Joe Sestak owes it to everyone to detail his side of the story surrounding the job offer.

“I figured we would get this answer on the Friday before Memorial Day. As they have shown time and time again, this administration may not know much about openness and transparency, but they certainly know ‘how to take out the trash’.”
