HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the Republican nominations of U.S. Senate candidate Pat Toomey, gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett and Lieutenant Governor candidate Jim Cawley.
“The road to bringing commonsense solutions and fiscal responsibility back to Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg begins tonight, as Pat Toomey, Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley took another step towards securing victory in November,” Gleason said. “We have successfully nominated our strongest ticket. Pat Toomey, Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley possess a shared vision for this Commonwealth that includes lower taxes, limited government and a commitment to putting the needs of their constituents first.
“I would like to personally thank all the volunteers who spent countless hours making phone calls, knocking on doors and doing everything they could to spread the Republican messages of Pat Toomey, Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley. We have the most energetic and dedicated grassroots network in Pennsylvania, and these critical wins are a testament to the hard work of our volunteers.
“I congratulate Pat Toomey, Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley on their impressive victories, and look forward to working hard to elect them this fall.”
