Harrisburg – PAGOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas today announced his intent to appoint former State Representative Becky Corbin (155th Legislative District) as Assistant Treasurer to the state party.
Per the PA GOP bylaws, the appointment must be presented to the leadership committee for their approval.
“Becky is one of the most capable and dedicated people I know,” said Tabas. “She has been a great ambassador for the Republican Party, its values and ideals.”
Corbin served three terms in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, from 2013 to 2018, representing Chester County’s 155thLegislative District. During her tenure, she was co-chair of the Nuclear Energy Caucus and the Pennsylvania House Life Sciences Caucus.
Former Commissioner of Brandywine Regional Police, Corbin supported initiatives to protect law enforcement officers in the line of duty, and in 2017 received a District Attorney Commendation for her outstanding work supporting Chester County law enforcement in its fight against domestic violence and drug abuse.
Corbin graduated with a degree in chemistry from Chatham University in Pittsburgh and has worked as a forensic chemist and an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, she serves on the Boards of Chester County Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet and Pope John Paul II Regional Elementary School.
She and her husband, Mike, live in Chester County and have two children and three grandchildren.
