Failed U.S. Senate candidate and 2020 Democrat Presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke is slated to make an appearance in State College today. The 12th Congressional District is the district Marc Friedenberg seeks to represent in an upcoming special election.
Monday, at a campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio, O’Rourke was asked whether or not he supports third trimester abortions.
“The question is about abortion and reproductive rights and my answer to you is that should be a decision that the woman makes. I trust her.”
With O’Rourke coming to State College today, it is fair to wonder: Does Marc Friedenberg agree with Beto O’Rourke’s radical position on abortion?
Friedenberg agrees with O’Rourke in supporting the $93 trillion Green New Deal and the government takeover of healthcare in Medicare-for-All. Will he split with Beto O’Rourke on late-term abortion?
In addition, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Jason Gottesman, made the following statement:
“Like Beto O’Rourke, radical Marc Friedenberg supports socialist policies like $93 trillion Green New Deal and the complete government takeover of healthcare. Does he also agree with Beto O’Rourke on this extreme position of support for third trimester abortions?
“Beto O’Rourke’s positions, like those of Marc Friedenberg, are antithetical to American values and our Constitutional form of government. They do not represent the values of north-central Pennsylvania.”
