HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Val DiGiorgio released the following statement on H.J. Res. 43 being signed into law today by President Trump:
“It’s fitting that on the birthday of Thomas Jefferson — a staunch states’ rights advocate — President Trump took action to empower our states by signing H.J. Res. 43 into law. The Title X regulations imposed by President Obama that took away the right of states to set their own priorities for family planning programs have appropriately been nullified.
“One size-fits-all solutions dictated by Washington bureaucrats simply don’t work. Our states have different priorities and needs — America is innovative and fair-minded enough to ensure women and families in the Title X program receive world-class care through state specific strategies.”
