HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement today regarding the celebration of the Fourth of July.
“Today, our nation joins together to commemorate the beginning of the greatest country in the history of the world,” Gleason said. “Our citizens take great pride in the fact the Declaration of Independence was drafted and approved in Pennsylvania, and we’re honored to live in the birthplace of liberty.
“The Fourth of July also serves as an opportunity to remember the constant struggle to protect our freedoms. On this important day, we should all take pause to remember all the brave men and women and their families whose sacrifices allow us the freedom to celebrate this joyful day.
“The Republican Party of Pennsylvania would like to wish everyone a very happy and safe Fourth of July.”
