U.S. Senator Pat Toomey Earns PA GOP Endorsement For Re-Election During Fall Meeting

HARRISBURG — U.S. Senator Pat Toomey won the official support of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania today during the organization’s Fall Meeting in Harrisburg.

Senator Toomey, who currently holds double-digit leads against his Democrat opponents in the latest Quinnipiac poll, gained the endorsement of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania concluding a week-long tour announcing his re-election campaign.

“Pat Toomey is a proven fighter for policies that create jobs, keep taxes low and protect our nation,” Gleason said. “During his time in office, Pat Toomey has fought against the out-of-control spending of the Obama Administration by offering a ten year plan to balance our federal budget. Senator Toomey was a leading author of the JOBS Act, which is aimed at helping our small and mid-sized businesses expand and create more jobs in our communities. Senator Pat Toomey has been an outspoken advocate of strengthening child protection laws that will keep predators out of our schools.

“Pat Toomey is a firm believer in the commonsense Republican principles of individual freedom and economic opportunity,” Gleason continued. “The Republican Party of Pennsylvania is proud to support Pat Toomey’s efforts to stand up for the needs of Pennsylvanians in the U.S. Senate.”

“I am grateful for the support of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania as I seek re-election to the United States Senate,” Senator Toomey said. “Over the past four-and-a-half years, I’ve worked hard on behalf Pennsylvanians to support conservative, common sense measures which promote public safety, limit the size of government, and encourage economic growth. While we’ve had some successes, the job is not done.

“With the assistance of the members of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania,” he continued, “I am confident that we will win this race and change Pennsylvania and our country for the better.”
