PA GOP Statement On The Passing Of Bob Bennett

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason, Republican National Committeeman Bob Asher and Republican National Committeewoman Christine Toretti released the following statement regarding the passing of Ohio Republican National Committeeman Bob Bennett.

“Bob Bennett was an icon of Republican politics in Ohio,” Gleason said. “Bob’s work over the course of his lifetime helped to create the strong Republican Party that we see in Ohio today. Bob Bennett helped to elect countless Republican candidates at all levels of government, and he will be greatly missed.”

“Bob’s passion for Republican politics was unrivaled,” Asher said. “Bob’s efforts throughout his lifetime improved our Party and our country, and his legacy will inspire generations to come.”

“Bob Bennett was a good man who played a major role in shaping the Republican Party at the national, state and local levels,” Toretti added. “His political acumen was incredible, and he was a tremendous resource for his fellow members of the Republican National Committee.”

“He was a dear friend and colleague,” Gleason concluded, “and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
