HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Memorial Day.
“Today, we honor the brave men and women who have dedicated and given their lives in service to our country,” Gleason said. “As a veteran, I appreciate the sacrifices made by the members of the Armed Forces and their families, and I thank them deeply for their efforts to keep our country and our world safe and free.
“I want to thank all of Pennsylvania’s veterans for their brave efforts to defend our country. We are proud of the party leaders who have served, including Governor Tom Corbett, Congressmen Joe Pitts, Tim Murphy and Scott Perry, and our veterans in the state Senate and state House. Their dedication to serving our Commonwealth and our country is a testament to their convictions and the strength of their character.
“While our service members and their families continue to serve our country, our Party will continue to work hard to ensure that their actions are recognized by our grateful nation.”
