Democrats Try To Appease The Liberal Left At Debate

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding tonight’s gubernatorial debate in Lancaster.

“Once again, the Democratic gubernatorial candidates debated over who was the most out of touch with Pennsylvania voters,” Gleason said. “Whether it’s pushing for higher taxes or bragging about their support of Obamacare, these Democratic candidates more concerned about scoring cheap political points among liberal special interests groups than offering actual solutions for Pennsylvania families.

“While the Democrats are focused on appeasing their liberal base, Tom Corbett is focused on leading Pennsylvania. Over the course of the past three years, Tom Corbett’s commonsense reforms have created more than 150,000 new private sector jobs and lowered our unemployment rate to a five-year low. Tom Corbett is putting Pennsylvanians back to work, and we simply cannot afford to go back to the tax-and-spend policies of the past now.”
