HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding President Barack Obama’s latest visit to Western Pennsylvania.
“Once again, President Obama is using Pennsylvania as a backdrop but he just does not get it,” Gleason said. “If President Obama was serious about job creation, he would acknowledge the disastrous consequences of Obamacare on the economy. Obamacare is costing Americans their jobs, their health care coverage and their tax dollars, but President Obama continues to choose his liberal agenda over the harsh realities of his actions.
“At a time when the national unemployment rate is climbing, Governor Corbett is putting Pennsylvanians back to work. Governor Corbett’s commonsense fiscal policies have created more than 150,000 private sector jobs, and lowered the unemployment rate to a 5-year low.
“In spite of the tax-and-spend policies of President Obama and the Democrats, Pennsylvania’s economy is growing stronger under Governor Tom Corbett. President Obama should take a moment to learn about Pennsylvania’s economic successes under Governor Corbett while he’s visiting our Commonwealth.”
