HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Presidents’ Day.
“Today, we pause to commemorate the lives of our Commanders-in-Chief, starting with President George Washington,” Gleason said. “While President Washington’s leadership gave our young country the chance to grow into the nation we are today, President Abraham Lincoln’s resolve in a time of crisis allowed our country to endure its darkest hour. We also remember President Ronald Reagan, whose vision of a limited and fiscally responsible government serves as the bedrock of the Republican Party.
“We will continue to honor the legacies of these great leaders and all who work to ensure that all Americans enjoy the freedom to pursue their dreams.”
