HARRISBURG — On Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, the Pennsylvania Teenage Republicans held their first convention in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The PA GOP took an active role in helping organize and execute this convention, which brought together over 30 Teenage Republicans from around the Commonwealth for fellowship and political learning. Notable speakers included Governor Tom Corbett, State Representative Seth Grove and State Representative Sheryl Delozier. Additionally, the Pennsylvania TARs elected new officers at this convention: Chairman Brandon Posner, Co-Chairman Matthew Schargel, Treasurer Nathaniel Rome, and Secretary Rachel Hobbs.
Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement.
“Our party is taking an active role to communicate and engage with younger voters and we were thrilled to help the Pennsylvania Teenage Republicans plan their first-ever state convention. These kids are our future leaders and it was wonderful to share in their tremendous enthusiasm for our shared principles of limited government, individual liberty and free enterprise. We will continue working with the PA TARs and other auxiliary organizations to communicate our party and candidates’ messages in every way possible.”
