HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement commemorating Flag Day, which celebrates the adoption of the flag of the United States by resolution of the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. Today, we also celebrate the 238th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army.
“Every day is a good day to be an American, but today, let us gaze upon the stars at stripes with special consideration for those who have sacrificed to protect the freedoms for which it sands. On behalf of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, we remember and thank our American heroes, the first responders, members of the armed services, and all who wear the flag to serve others.”
