HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement in response to John Hanger’s “8-Point Plan” plan, a failed regurgitation of liberal talking points that includes more spending, more taxes, more Obamacare, and more class warfare.
“Well that didn’t take long. We are 18 months away from the Governor’s election and here is the Democrats’ first tax-raising and more government spending program. Democrats want to impose higher taxes, more Obamacare, and more massive government spending that Pennsylvania can’t afford, and the Democratic field should make clear whether or not each agrees with these failed policies. It’s clear that liberals like Allyson Schwartz, Tom Wolfe, Rob McCord and John Hanger don’t understand that we can’t tax our way to prosperity.
“After two balanced budgets, zero tax increases and helping the private sector create over 110,000 private sector jobs, Governor Corbett’s leadership is propelling Pennsylvania in a positive and prosperous direction.
