Representative John Taylor unanimously elected Chairman

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement on Rep. John Taylor’s unanimous election to serve as Chairman of the Philadelphia Republican City Committee:

“I congratulate Representative Taylor on his election and look forward to working with him to build a strong and vibrant Republican Party in the city of Philadelphia. Chairman Taylor will be a smart, tough and effective leader who will help to showcase the Republican Party as a place for commonsense reforms for Philadelphia citizens.

“As Chairman of the State Party, I have maintained an open door policy for anyone who wants to contribute to our mission: elect Republican candidates who will institute our principles in government. We have made unprecedented investments to help build the GOP in all corners of the city. As we prepare to reelect Governor Corbett next year, creating a strong organization in Philadelphia will be critical to our statewide success. I welcome anyone who shares our vision in creating a strong and vibrant Republican Party to join our unified effort.”
