Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), in conjunction with Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to recognize its newly approved Veterans Training and Assessment Program. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Monday, April 22nd at 3:00 pm.
The United State Department of Veterans Affairs has approved MBIT’s application to become a training center for veterans and other eligible persons. The following programs will provide 1,000 hours of training to veterans enrolled full-time and can be completed in the course of one academic year.
The following eleven programs are now approved:
Automotive Collision Technology
Automotive Technology
Building Trades Occupations
Construction Carpentry
Drafting & Design Technology
Electrical & Network CablingCommercial Art & Design
Dental Occupations
Early Childhood Care & Education
Web Page, Digital Multimedia & Information Resources Design
Welding Technology
Middle Bucks also offers career assessment services to veterans in order to identify what educational pathway would best suit his/her unique interests and abilities. Assessment systems used include the CareerScope (interests and aptitudes), the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (personality), the Bennett Hand Tool Dexterity and Mechanical Assessments, and more. Funding is available for assessment services as well as tuition and related fees. In addition, child care is offered through our on-site child care center, Li’l Bucks Partners in Learning, which is a CCIS/Apple Child Care Services participating center.
