Yesterday, Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Pa., was officially confirmed by the House of Representatives to chair the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for the 113th Congress.
“Working together, the committee will focus on reforming programs and strengthening America’s transportation networks to make us more efficient, competitive, and prosperous,” Shuster said in a written statement.
Shuster also announced the rest of the committee’s Republican membership.
The congressman, who was picked for the chairman’s post in November, has served on the committee since coming to Congress in 2001.
