Allentown Morning Call
I read with interest Morning call reporter Adam Clark’s article on Sen. Pat Toomey’s concerns about the fiscal cliff. I agree with Sen. Toomey that we are indeed on a shaky, unsustainable fiscal path.
I, for one, am grateful that we have an individual like Sen. Toomey, who has a deep understanding of financial matters and a passion to get our nation back on the right track. As part of his work on the supercommittee on deficit reduction last year, he demonstrated a willingness to work with lawmakers on the other side of the aisle for the good of our great country.
It is my sincere hope that our president and other elected officials in Washington will join Sen. Toomey in helping to identify a sound solution to our nation’s growing fiscal crisis.
