U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., will be stumping for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney tonight in the Holmes section of Ridley Township.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at Heritage Ballrooms, located at 2107 MacDade Boulevard in Holmes. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m.
This is not the Florida senator’s first stop in Delaware County. Rubio, who has been aligned with the tea party movement, attended a campaign event with Romney at Mustang Expediting, a trucking business in Chester Township, back in April.
During the primary election cycle, there was talk that Romney had been eyeing Rubio as a vice presidential candidate. However, Romney ultimately chose U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as his running mate.
