District Attorneys from surrounding areas were at the courthouse Friday, to support a candidate for the office of Attorney General.

Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed was endorsed by the District Attorneys for Erie, Crawford and Clarion counties, and Senator Bob Robbins was also there to speak in praise of Freed.

His colleagues said Freed has proven himself as a DA for seven years, and Freed was honored by his peers’ support.

“These are the people who have been elected by their citizens in their counties to make sure they keep their families safe, and the people who know the job the best,” said Freed. “It’s just so meaningful to me not only to have their support and encouragement, but for them to stand up publicly for me.”

Freed is running against Democrat Kathleen Kane.
