Chambersburg Public Opinion

State Sen. Richard Alloway II, R-Chambersburg, and state Rep. Rob Kauffman, R-Chambersburg, have been name guardians of small business.

The Pennsylvania Leadership Council of the National Federation of Independent Business recognized their pro-business voting record for the 2011-12 legislative session. The votes included legal reform and regulatory relief, tax and fiscal policy, and unemployment and workers compensation reforms.

“Small businesses are responsible for nearly half of all employment in Pennsylvania and across the nation, so ensuring these businesses can thrive and grow is the best way to create and retain jobs for local workers,” Alloway said.

“I am proud of my record supporting legislation to bolster the business climate as we seek to make Pennsylvania a more business-friendly environment where small businesses have the opportunity to grow, prosper and create jobs,” said Kauffman.
