Harrisburg — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason issued the following statement regarding Vice President Biden’s stunning admission that the middle class has been “buried” under President Obama’s failed policies over the last four years:
“We agree with Vice President Biden’s stunning admission that the middle class has been, ‘buried the last four years,’ thanks to President Obama’s failure on growing our economy and creating jobs. President Obama will lose Pennsylvania this year not only because he has no record to run on, but also because in moments of candor, his campaign’s top surrogates like Vice President Biden admit that Pennsylvanians are not better off than they were four years ago.
“It’s clear that the Pennsylvania Democratic Party has identified the President’s failed record as a political vulnerability and in ditching their fall meeting last weekend, sought to protect candidates like Bob Casey and Mark Critz from publicly supporting the President’s failed policies.”
Vice President Biden Said The “Middle Class … Has Been Buried In The Last Four Years.” BIDEN: “This is deadly earnest. How they can justify, how they can justify, raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried in the last four years.” (Vice President Joe Biden, Remarks, Charlotte, NC, 10/2/12)
