HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement in recognition of the 11th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in Pennsylvania, Washington DC and New York.
“The events of September 11 are forever etched into our American consciousness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those personally afflicted by this horrific tragedy and we join them to honor their loved ones’ memory and sacrifice.
“We also remember the fact that the United States of America continues to be the greatest country in the world because of our brave men and women in uniform who fight to defend our cherished freedoms. We thank them today and everyday for their continued service and heroism. Together we show the world that we have not forgotten, and that our American spirit endures.”
