U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Hollidaysburg, said he has relied on the budget expertise of vice presidential candiate Paul Ryan.
“Paul is a great choice for Mitt Romney’s vice president,” Shuster said. “He will be able to energize the party and be able to speak plainly to Americans about the complex economic issues that we all face today across this great country of ours.
“I know Paul well, because I have served with him for the past 11 years in Congress and have come to rely on his expertise on tax and budget issues.” Ryan represents the 1st House District in southeastern Wisconsin.
“Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan sends a strong message to the American people that the Romney/Ryan team’s number one priority is to get the economy growning again creating the jobs and the prosperity that we need.”
