New Poll Says DePasquale And Maher In Virtual Dead Heat For Auditor General

York Daily Record

A new poll shows that the Democratic and Republican candidates for Pennsylvania auditor general are in a virtual dead heat.

When asked who they would vote for if the election were today, 35 percent of respondents picked state Rep. Eugene DePasquale, D-West Manchester Township, and 34 percent picked state Rep. John Maher, R-Allegheny. DePasquale’s lead is within the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.

Another 31 percent of respondents said they were undecided.

Public Policy Polling surveyed 671 Pennsylvania voters from May 17 to May 20 for the poll, the organization said in a news release.
