HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement urging members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to pass House Bill (HB) 934, the critically necessary voter identification legislation.
“Asking voters for photo identification is a commonsense measure to ensure that all votes are counted equally and fairly. It only takes one case of fraud to cancel out a legally cast ballot. If voter identification legislation averts even one case of fraud, then it is absolutely necessary and worthwhile. This is not a partisan issue; protecting our elections is a team sport and I urge all members of the Pennsylvania State House to pass HB 934 and ensure voters the fair elections they deserve.”
