Pa. Governor Takes Budget Message On Road

Governor Tom Corbett took his budget proposal on the road Wednesday.

Corbett, a Republican, stopped at Viwinco Vinyl Windows, a window manufacturer in Caernarvon Township, Berks Co.

The governor learned the ins and outs of the window world and had a chance to discuss his $27.14 billion budget proposal he unveiled to lawmakers in Harrisburg last month.

“We’re gonna work our way through the tough economic times that we presently have,” said Corbett.

The governor said his proposal reduces spending by more than $20 million and helps close the state’s projected revenue shortfall of more than $700 million.
