Secretary of the Commonwealth Carol Aichele, a former fourth grade teacher, must have felt at home when she spent some time in a fourth grade class at Middle Smithfield Elementary School on Thursday. During her visit, she and the students chatted about how government works, how bills are passed and anything else the kids wanted to ask. Her visit was part of an outreach program to schools across Pennsylvania to encourage students to become more interested in their government.
