Allentown Morning Call
MSNBC’s White House correspondent Chuck Todd interviewed Lehigh Valley’s own Charlie DentThursday morning on the topic of (you guessed it!) the debt ceiling. Todd introduced Dent as one of the few Republicans in Congress who represents a district won by both Democratic presidential candidatesJohn Kerry in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008.
Dent told Todd he expects a smaller plan with $1 trillion in spending cuts to be the final deal, and also said he’s not ready to dismiss the “McConnell plan” that hands off raising the limit to Obama in increments if it’s the only way to avoid default. He also did not rule out voting for a debt limit increase with increased revenues.
