Valerie Caras Named Communications And Technology Director

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason announced today that he has named Valerie Caras to serve as Director of the Communications and Technology Departments for the Republican Party of Pennsylvania. The position was previously held by Mike Barley, who was recently named Executive Director.

“Valerie Caras is a great addition to our team and we are excited about her assuming the Communications and Technology Director role for the Party,” Gleason said. “Over the past four years our Party has remained on the cutting edge of political technology. I am confident in Valerie’s ability to continue this important work as we bring our message to voters for key elections during the 2011-2012 cycle.”

Before being named Director of Communications and Technology, Valerie had served as Executive Director for the Dauphin County Republican Committee. In that role, Valerie managed the political, financial and communications operations for Republican candidates in Dauphin County. Valerie is a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Harrisburg.
