As part of the Web site privacy policy, no personal information will be collected about you (unless specified in this policy) when you visit our web site unless you choose to provide that information. We comply with four core privacy principles: notice, choice, access, and security.


Here is how the Republican Party of Pennsylvania handles information about your visit to our Web site:

Information Collected and Stored Automatically:
If all you do during your visit is browse through the Web site, read pages, or download information, the only information the site will gather and store about your visit is the following information: The Internet domain (for example, "aol.com" or "xcompany.com") from which you access the Internet; The IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web) from which you access the Web site; The type of browser and operating system and connection speed used to access the site; The date and time you access the site; The pages you visit; and if you linked to the Republican Party's web site from another web site, the address of that web site. This information is used for site management purposes -- to learn about the areas of the site that are of the most and least interest, the number of visitors to the site, and the types of technology visitors use.

Use of Cookies:
Cookies are bits of information that are stored on your computer when you visit a Web site. When someone visits
www.pagop.org, a session cookie is placed on the user's machine due to our flash technology used in the homepage of the web site (if the user accepts cookies) or is read if the user has visited the site previously.

In the eLeader section of www.pagop.org, cookies are used to allow eLeaders to personalize their ePrecinct. Users are able to "Opt-In" for that service. This will store a cookie on your machine. Each user also has the option to cancel that session at anytime.

If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies from the www.pagop.org web site, you will be able to view the text on the screens, however you will not experience a personalized eLeader.

If You Send Personal Information:
If you choose to provide the Republican Party of Pennsylvania with personal information -- such as if you send us an e-mail or you fill out a form with your personal information and submit it through the Republican Party of Pennsylvania's Web site -- we collect and store your e-mail address and the content of your communication in order to consider and, as appropriate, reply to your communication.


Additionally, federal law may require that certain unlawful communications be forwarded to appropriate law enforcement agencies. We also may wish to save certain information that you provide us for future reference, in order to contact you about issues or activities we believe match your interests. If you "opt-in" via our contact or volunteer forms, we assume you would not mind if we save your information and in order to contact you later, find issues and activities that match your interests. If you would not mind us saving your information, please simply click the appropriate box.

Volunteering Online
When you volunteer online, we gather the following information: name, address, phone, email address, and how you want to assist the party. We use this information to contact you regarding your offer to volunteer. We may also use that information to provide you with updates or other material about opportunities concerning the party that we believe may be of interest to you. You may change this information at any time and as often as necessary. You can remove your information from our list at any time by contacting the Republican Party of Pennsylvania at the addresse listed below.

Online Contributions
When you contribute money online, state law requires us to obtain the following information from all individuals: name, mailing address, phone number, employer, occupation and amount of contribution. State law also requires us to report this information to the FEC.


Receiving Republican Party of Pennsylvania Updates
When you subscribe to Republican Party of Pennsylvania contact or volunteer updates, we will use your email address to send you regular party updates. We will also contact you about recent events and news about the party and inform you of upcoming events in your area.


You may unsubscribe to any of our electronic correspondence at anytime by following the instructions contained at the end of every email. You may also opt out of receiving future mailings at any time by contacting the Republican Party of Pennsylvania at the mailing address provided below. We will not share any of the personal information that you provide to subscribe to Republican Party of Pennsylvania updates with third parties.


Opting Out and Modifying Information
We provide users the opportunity to opt out of receiving any further communications from us when they receive distributions of Republican Party of Pennsylvania updates. We also give users the option of contacting us at any time to remove their information from our database or to stop receiving future distributions of Republican Party of Pennsylvania news or volunteer information. You can opt out of any feature by sending an e-mail to

Information on Children:
We do not ask children 13 and under for any identifying information. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children 13 and under.
